What does unlock means? How can I unlock my iDevice?

Unlocking is the process of allowing non-approved SIM cards to be used on your phone.

If you want to make calls on a non-approved carrier you need to unlock your iDevice.

IMPORTANT: Some jailbreaks will NOT unlock your iDevice, so pay attention when upgrading your operating system!

Again, some jailbreaks don’t unlock your iDevice in order for it to be able to make calls on a non-approved carrier, they just hack/patch your device in order to add additional applications (usually applications rejected on the official AppStore) to your iDevice so pay attention at the jailbreaking procedure and tutorials as you might find yourself stuck!

NOTE: If you have an approved carrier, you only need to jailbreak your phone, not unlock your phone.
