How to update iOS
In order to update iOS you should:
- Connect your iDevice to your computer.
- Open iTunes.
- Select your iDevice within iTunes, from the right sidebar and sync it with iTunes. Please don’t skip this step as some times a backup saves your day!
- Select your iDevice within iTunes, from the right sidebar, go to Summary, than click “Check for Update” or “Update”.
- Your device will sync, backup, reboot and install the update.
- After the final boot you will need to activate your account. This is usually done by iTunes upon the first boot.
- After activation shut down your iDevice and start it again. This is not mandatory but highly recommended.
- Voila, job done!
IMPORTANT: Updating your device will remove any applied jailbreak! Before updating to a newer iOS please check our tutorials in order to see if the iOS version you want to upgrade to is jailbreakable!
